Get to know me...

My name is Pilar Seretti. I live in Friendswood, Texas. I am a Pshycologist and a Grief Educator. I have a Master of Science in Mental Health with an Emphsis in Grief and Berievment.

I have been married to my husband for 21 years. I am the mother of three wonderful children. Nick was 27 years old; Josh is twenty-five and Isabella is 20 years old. I have also two stepdaughters; Francesca is 28 years old, and Giuliana is 24. I have 2 beautiful Goldendoodles, Dexter and Cuzco, and 2 cute kitties, Lynx and Asia.

I was born in Lima, Peru in 1967. I moved to the United States 31 years ago and made Texas my home. I married Scott Feuless in 1994 and had Nick, and then in 1997 I had Josh. Scott and I divorced when the boys were still young, but we learned to have a great relationship. In 2001 I married, Celso Seretti, and we had our Isabella in 2002. We are a very happy extended family.

Our five children grew up loving and respecting each other very much. They treat themselves as siblings. I have been a teacher for more than 25 years. I have a Bachelor's in Psychology. After suddenly losing my 27-year-old son, I started looking for help. Soon, I realized that there was a lack of therapists who specialized in grief, so I decided to go back to school and get my certification as a grief therapist. I hope to be able to help other people during this painful path I'm on.

We lost Nick on March 14th, 2022, in an accident. His death has definitely impacted us very much.

Nick was a loving brother, son, boyfriend and friend.  Our lives have changed forever. We are all still grieving in our own ways. Nick continues to be present in our lives.

This page was created with the intention of helping anyone who is experiencing grief. I wanted to share some of my feelings so you could understand this process better. Hopefully my experience will help others to understand their own pain and grief. If you are grieving, please understand you don't need to do this alone. Let me know if I can help you.
